What is an External Charger?

Batteries are usually charged inside the notebook when the AC adapter is plugged into the electricity outlet. In contrast, an external charger charges the battery outside of the notebook.

What is the purpose of using an External Charger?

a. When you have second battery for your notebook.

        You go out with the notebook while the spare battery is charging at home.

b. Your battery can't be charged with the AC adapter.

        Your notebook circuit board has a problem and you don't want to spend $400 more for a repair, or maybe the AC adapter connector is too loose and it can't get a good contact.
